josh said i haven't updated in a long time... so here is my update.

i have a new schedule at work- sunday through thursday. i like it a lot better, it makes the week seem shorter but at the same time i feel like i need to get everything set to even leave for the weekend because people expect me to be there on fridays and i don't work then... but my coworkers are wonderful people and i know they can help any customer when i'm not there.

so today is my day off. josh and i are preparing to go to alabama next week. emily is graduating from hs on thursday so wednesday night we're driving all night to montgomery. we're also bringing mian with us so we don't have to board her.

on friday we're going to auburn. i really miss that place! its def. where a huge part of my heart is. on saturday, morgan and justin are getting married and i'm planning on trying to go to the wedding. and then on sunday, we're heading back to florida so i can go to work on monday.

busy busy!

i feel like i do the same thing every weekend... try to unpack boxes and organize the apartment. hopefully i will be done soon.

in the mean time, i still haven't picked out a bedspread/duvet cover/comforter for my bed so right now there's a quilt on it that doesn't fit. the bed is a king size and my quilt is made for a queen. haha. i know i want something that had red in it. right now the morroccan/india thing is very popular which is good because i'm going for a casablanca/east india company-british colony theme in my apartment. i don't want silly ceramic elephants or anything like that, but as far as the colors. so in the living room its mahagony furniture, a ratan book shelf, sage futon... i want to bring in some reds and golds there with the curtains and the accents. in my bedroom i want the same feel. so i'm looking for a red comforter or duvet cover with the other colors either in it or in the accents with it. i had picked out one i liked in pottery barn but i haven't seen it since that one catalog. so i'm still looking.

this week is already almost over! i can't believe it goes by so fast. i've been pretty busy at work, but i know tomorrow that will be over because i've done almost all of my online training for this week in the past 2 days. i'm really excited about going back to class because i love my classmates. they're so much fun. i told one of the girls i've become really good friends with that its like we're a sorority because even though were all from different places and backgrounds, we all have something that bonds us together. how cheesy is that??? like DG but with my progressive peeps. haha. and theres boys allowed too.

today was pretty sad because josh didn't get the job he wanted. i really wanted him to get it too because it would have been a great job for him. unfortunately even though he made it almost all the way through the process, he wasn't exactly what they were looking for. but i guess it just wasnt right for him. i've sent out a few more applications for him tonight... hopefully something will come of them. tomorrow he has an interview with a travel agency, but its not what he wants to do.

my dad and uncle came in late friday night. they brought mian! i'm so happy to have her here. i've really missed her.

yesterday we unloaded the uhaul and i bought a futon and some ceiling fans. i'm really happy with the way things are coming together. my king sized bed fits great in my bedroom and my office/guest room look pretty cool too. my living room furniture look great with the wall color. I wasn't sure about it at first because I thought it was kinda more orange than creme brulee when I got it on the walls. But I realized that it was the kitchen lights that were making it look that tint. Then I saw a HGTV show where they used the same color for a living room with a girl whose furniture looks the same shade as mine. So that made me more confident in it and now that its coming together, I really like it.

Mian has decided that the screened lanai is her room and the couch in the living room is her new bed. She's so spoiled.

So far I really like it here... tomorrow is my first day making the commute to work. Hopefully I can get up and get going in time to make it there on time. Wish me luck! Then after a week its back here for 2 and then about 2 more weeks after that at my office... then its off to West Palm Beach for a month! woo-hoo!!!! can i say i my job???
